Thank you Linda! Actually, this was not inspired by a singer, but by Helene Weigel's "silent scream" in Mutter Courage. But yours is an interesting observation.
Powerful image indeed. I would imagine a woman lying on her bed at the end of a very stressful day, letting out a scream that contains all her anger, tireness, desesperation.

Energia, questo mi viene subito in mente guardando questo tuo dipinto, Barbara. E poi forza e rabbia e disperazione e voglia di rivalsa... e di far sentire che ci sei. Perfetta la scelta del monocromo, e la corposità degli oli è direi necessaria al vigore dell'espressione... E' un dipinto veramente bello, Barbara.
