No time for painting, no time for posting, tiredness. But the more I wait, the more difficult it becomes to catch up, to post something, the more uninspired and tired I feel. But inspiration and energy come from doing, therefore the only way to break this vicious circle is to do something and post anything, right now. That's it.
Even learning to crochet helps. "Daisy stitch", learned here.

Bentornata Barbara!! Non mollare, riprendi a farci vedere cosa fai nascere con le tue mani e con la tua fantasia. Un abbraccio e buon week end!
ReplyDeleteGrazie, Tito! :) Buon week end anche a te!
DeleteI love your daisy stitch; it looks complicated, but then crocheting was never an art that occurred to me. You're absolutely right that doing anything and posting it is the way to get in the habit. It took me a long time--about ninety days--three months of just doing anything. Some of those drawings came out okay surprisingly enough. Others were embarrassingly horrendous. Three years later, my art has improved and posting has become just part of my art day. Your drawings are sweet and direct and refreshing. Keep going.
ReplyDeleteActually Linda, crocheting never occurred to me, too, until I became friends with Roberta Castiglione and learnt about her wonderful project "Lana d'Abruzzo" (Wool from the Abruzzi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_CaCcuHpYc&feature=share&list=UUl0NehEpgyjZ2GipKV23EtA) and about a whole new, modern way to crochet (3D, design crochet) that is very appealing to me :)
DeleteI think mixing media like this is so refreshing, and doubly creative!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Debbie!
DeleteSo good to hear from you, and a reminder that I should keep up with some of my favorite blogs - yours! I love the sensitivity of your drawing here...and the girl's dress strikes just the right note on an otherwise monochromatic image.
ReplyDeleteOne of your favorite blogs - what an honor!
DeleteMi piace questo accostamento di uncinetto e disegno, coltivalo!
