Painted 12 years ago during a sailboat holiday, this little watercolour takes me back to an atmosphere of peacefulness and of feeling at one with nature.
One does not discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore for a very long time - André Gide

oh yes, and in case you're interested in another "art heals" project" i recently did another using all sorts of things from past experiences like a copy of my first lease i shared with my husband, notes from a writing class etc. for me, it was a lovely way to honor my past and to help me move forward.

Gorgeous! I bet looking at this painting gives you a lot of happiness and good memories.
ReplyDeleteThis is really lovely.
ReplyDeleteJust back from 4 days sailing myself. There is something so peaceful, so ....You said it better than I can. May you have many more memories as wonderful as that sailing holiday!
(Nin)

ReplyDeleteI am so glad that IF led me to this beautiful image, and your blog. Reading your "About Me" gives that pleasant sort of ache in the heart :) Much love and courage to you.
ReplyDeleteLovely image and enjoyed reading your profile as well. I agree it's about enjoying the process. Sometimes one can be too focused on the finished line that you lose sight of the beauty along the path. Thanks for reminding me :)
ReplyDeletebeautiful painting ♥
